Community Labor Availability Studies
The Workforce Development Division provides matching funds to communities who participate in Standardized Community Labor Availability Studies. The standardized studies have identified core data elements which include a consistent standard for conducting the surveys and timeframes for keeping them current.
Community Labor Availability Surveys are important to show that there is an available labor pool when businesses are looking at expanding or locating to the State.
Underemployment Studies are important to identify the level of underemployment and to develop training options to move the underemployed into higher skill opportunities that employers have available.
The studies will be updated every two years.
