Single State Strategic Biennial Plan Committee
Planning Purpose and Scope
Purpose
Assist the state in the creation of a single statewide biennial strategic plan for workforce development, workforce training and talent attraction to support an integrated approach to workforce development in the state.
Planning Scope
- Identify the necessary elements of the single statewide consolidated biennial plan.
- Identify specific actions in a progressive and aggressive timeline through a one-year action plan that allows key partners and stakeholders to help jump-start key elements of the plan,
- Conduct a minimum of a series of three planning meetings to build upon on-going efforts regarding the "North Dakota talent initiative: workforce development for economic development."
- Develop an action agenda to implement and achieve the strategic plan's goals:
- Structure the first meeting to focus on the tenants of the five-year workforce investment act plan;
- Focus the second meeting on drilling deeper and providing more structure to the process;
- And use the third meeting to identify specific action items thatmove the key elements of the talent initiative forward.
