The North Dakota Department of Commerce, Workforce Development Division and the North Dakota State Commission on National and Community Service will be hosting a service training conference for North Dakota and South Dakota AmeriCorps and Senior Corps programs on April 16th and 17th, 2019. Conference activities will be held from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm on April 16th, and from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on April 17th. The training conference will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Conference Center in West Fargo, North Dakota. Hotel Rooms will be at Homewood Suites by Hilton.

Allow your “Why” drive the what, how, who, where, and when. Your personal signature defines how other experience life and leadership with you. During this session, participants will identify their personal and professional signature, create a personal mission statement to guide decision making and intentional goal setting for life and leadership.
- Mindful Leadership
Participants are provided with tools and practices to support mindfulness and stress management. This workshop will present the concept and philosophy of “effectuated empathy” as they prepare for a service year in community development. Additionally, the workshop provides practices to identify triggers and manage stress in the various and possible contexts that may occur during the service term.
The Hotel rooms will be booked by the ND State Commission based on the survey at Homewood suites by Hilton. Make sure to fill out the survey if you require a hotel room and what nights you will need be needing a room.
